HomeGetting DEW error when powering on unit, then shus down. Lightly used camcorder started this after about only a year and maybe 10 tape recordings, and of course just out of warranty. Manual states it is a moisture issue. Tried to dry it out several ways. It worked a few times afterwards, but now always has this error. One of the clever ways to dry was to put the camera in a covered tupperware container half filled with instant rice to absorb the moisture. Anyone have a fix? TYVM!

hello, i can help you.... pls email me. .... for Donna, pls check email. ;) Niko I also have this same camera and have had it fixed twice and after the warrantee expired and it broke again, I just decided to use my vcr recorder (back to the stone-age). It is very aggravating. This was a gift and was told he paid $400.00 for it. Now with all the tapes I have, I can't even watch them,, or get the pictures out of it. Any help?
