In answer to the other two postings made, this symptom suggests that one of the internal fuses has blown, however it should be said that whats mentioned in the original posting can be caused by quite a few totally different reasons, all of requiring the case to be separated unless there is an error code showing, which dependant on what! gives a slight chance of an external cure being possible. Anyone else that may be reading this and have a question, do NOT make your posting from within this one as it will not be seen, make it by clicking on "post new message" at the top of the screen on the main list.
