jvc palmcorder

hi i have ajvc palmcorder 11 years old gr-ax820u i am having diffulcultly opening the tape door does anyone have any ideas why it is not opening it ate the tape once and open up once and thats it we cleaned it and still having problems .releasing it thank you Leon
