lens error 12 and 22 Kodak C330 easyshare

I have a kodak easy share C330 and when the batteries die while the lens is open, it stays open and after replacing batteries lens does not retract and I get an lens error code 12 then lens error code 22 when I shut off the camera. Can you please help, the camera will not take pictures in this state. Thank you Grant
