I have a problem with my mp4 player it shows total 1 mb space in memory disk

i have mp4 player with 4 Gb but i can't use the space it shows 1 mb space in my computer i try to format but fail please give me the formating tools software for earaise or format the drive and for the orignal space of the mp4 player.i just need formating tools or software for format in my computer
