camcorder color

I just bought a JVC Evero camcorder to replace my 12 year old Sharp camcorder. The color is much better on my old one than the new one. With interior light, which is what record most to the time at family events, the yellows are brownish, skin beached, blues pale etc. Is this the way this camcorder is or is there a way to correct this.
