Advice so that I can repair my TV.

My TV has a double image. A red offset images appears on bright subject. For instance Im viewing programing that has a light or sun in the picture, basicly every time a bright images appears. Darker images are not as noticeable but looking closely can be seen. I have tried the Auto Converganece and adjusting the setting behind the front panel but to no avail. If possable you can explain what my problem may be so that I can repair it myself. Thanks for your time and have a wonderful weekend.
