mp4

i bought my grandaughter a mp4 player for christmas,, i tried to put the songs i had on my computer on to it and it will only keep 1 cd at a time... i thought it was su[pposed to hold 500 songs..what am i doing wrong? please tell me how to fix this...thanks memaw
