I need help. can i charge it somehow with the computer?

Alright I have a sony MP4 player. It fell down once, and the whole glass cracked but it still worked. Now it just won't charge. On the charger there are two lights. Ones red and ones green. Red represents that the charger is plugged in, and the green represents that the MP4 Is charging. When I plug my mp4 in, only the red light shows. When I turn the MP4 on, and it's plugged into the charger the green light is very faint. so i need help. How can I charge my MP4? My friends charge there iPods on the computer, I wanna know if I can charge my mp4 on the computer somehow
