The screen is blank and so is the viewfinder (kinda like the lens cap is still on when it is not) The unit turns on and I can access the menus but am unable to tape on the unit.

the last time I used the unit i was transferring my 8mm tapes to video tapes and now when I try to use it it won't work. I have tried troubleshooting with the manual but have had no success. Any help on this for me?
