Error code EO4 Unit in safeguard mode. I found the fix for this while surfing the net. Hold one side of the canera in your hand as if your getting ready to record. Then smack the other side with your other palm a couple of times. It worked for ma and my camera now works just fine. Apparently something gets lodeged where the tape goes in and cause the problem. May not help everyone but it helped me.
