my mp3 player cannot working

hi!!!!!!! i've got a sony mp4 player of 4 gb. i tried a lot to use some songs & vids. however some songs were played but not asingle video was played.there was some format error. help me! send me any softwere it reqs. pleazzzzzzzzzzz
