HomeI need help with a UVW-1800! I put a large beta tape into my little/infrequently used Sony UVW-1800 recorder. The tape became stuck and threw a code.... error 02-403. I have cleared the transport mechanism and turned the recorder off and back on but the code remains. Any ideas/help? Thanks in advance. Dave

I'm a teacher in Los angeles and in the past four monthys the same thing has happened to tow of my machines...my error messages are different, however, the results are exactly alike...My erroe messages are 09-821 and 09-224 02-403 is a "tape slack" error. most likely problem is broken solder connections on the reel motors. |
