HomeIs there a replacement system for the old Broan music intercom? There is nothing on the master station except that name, and I can't find any information. We installed this system when we built our house 14 years ago. The system now makes a loud buzzing noise when it's turned on. I would like to know if there is a new master station that could be used with the old intercoms in the bedrooms without having to replace the whole system.

Gale, I believe I have the same system and would like to replace / upgrade mine to a system with a cd. Although I would sell you mine, as it works fine; you might check to make certain one of your buttons may not be depressed or partially depressed on any of the room or door stations causing a "feedback" or "buzz". Just a thought. If you are interested in purchasing my unit, let me know. Thanks Jack / Omaha Gale, Replacing an old Broan system you will probably have to replace all the room stations. Back 14 years ago the Broan System was very similar to the M&S Intercom Systems www.mssystems.com. I'm going to guess its a 4 wire system. Call M&S (Linear) and ask for a local dealer. The system you could put in place of your Broan System that will work on existing wire would be a DMC3-4 and yes you will probably have to replace all room stations. They will probably be a different size but M&S (Linear) does offer plates to cover the larger holes.
