Image through viewfinder and on recorded tape has dark & light ripple stripes. Been told that CCD is going bad.

I have worked on a lot of my own electronics over the years and this camcorder isn't worth spending a lot of money to have Sony make the repair. If anyone has ability to sell the CCD part or refer me, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
