querying to see if you have any information regarding repair for an old sony es carousel unit?

I'm wondering if anybody still tinkers with these units? Sony doesn't even list it in it's product/model list. It's a cdp-c70es from the late 80's, and the carousel is locked up and won't rotate, producing and error message. Any leads would be appreciative.
