Need to figure out a system that will automatically switch between a dvd player on loop and a satellite cable feed every 30-45 minutes, is this possible?

Need to figure out a system that will automatically switch between a dvd player on loop and a satellite cable feed every 30-45 minutes, is this possible? It is for a medical waiting room that would play their promotional video for 30 mins and then regular tv for 30 mins. Anyone's input is much appreciated. Thanks
