What's wrong with my camera?

I bought the Cybershot camera in June of 2006. The battery dies extremely quickly. I just changed the battery twice in the past month (I don't use it very often). Whn I last changed the battery the camera didn't even turn on. I don't know what's wrong with it. Should I just buy a new camera, or do you think its something that can be repaired?
