I dropped my sony DSCp10 in fresh water

I have completely air dried and replaced battery. Now the camera will power on, the lens extends and then it shuts down. The LCD never comes on and the camera must sit for 10 minutes before it will power back on, but is essentially useless. Is there no hope?
