HomeSETUP/INSTALLATION IN THE U.S.A. I have a plasma display monitor model number 4200 (VM-4200) that my son bought overseas in Italy while in the Air Force. He has since shipped it to the U.S where we live. The unit states that is requires 220/240 A.C. power. However, the unit has a standard 110/120 VAC power cord (3 prong) and corresponding socket(3 socket) on the back of the monitor. Our son says that he had it connected to a European AC outlet which has a 2 prong male connector on one end and the standard U.S. female socket(3 socket connector) on the other end. My question is are we simply to disconnect the European power cord and replace it with the U.S. power cord? Is that all we need to do or is there more? The confusion I have is that the manual states that the monitor requires 220/240 VAC. I'm an electrical engineer by trade but I can't tell if the unit has some sort of internal power supply that "generates" the 220/240 VAC using 110/120 VAC wall power. Please clarify for me. I don't want to damage the monitor by connecting it to the 110/120 VAC outlet. Thanks, Rene
