I have a 48"JVC 16x9 HDTV. I think the red & green picture tubes needs adjusting or replaced.

One day we turned the TV on & there was a U-shaped line looping from the upper left side of screen to the upper right side. Tested the 3 tubes (red, green & blue) & the lines were gone when we covered the red & green. When uncovered, the lines came back. We did the same test for the red & green projection tubes and the lines stayed. Is there a simple solution like adjusting or is this a replacement issue? Please let me know if you can assist.
