I have visited the JVC site and they told me that the CCD is faulty and will be replaced free of cost at any JVC agent provided with proof of purchase. The problem is that there is NO JVC representative in Mauritius. And also I cannot send it abroad as I bought it on ebay and do not have purchase receipt. I would be grateful if you could advise me what to do. Thanks

Hi I would like to tell you again that if it shows on screen that "lens cap error" that means it not the problem of CCD.If you want to see that problem is with CCD or nr not,just put it on camera mode in a bright daylight and see on screen if you can't see anything then try to move your camera towards sun and if you could see faint image of sun then you can be sure that CCD is faulty.But do it for 5 to 10 seconds only or CCD will damage completly. let me know the result All the best Uday |
