When I plug my cable into my t.v. the screen turns green and blue would this be bad projectors, but it works fine when the cable is not plugged in!

I have a JVC AV-48WP74 I love it I have had it for 4 years and have taken really good care of it I would really like to know what I need to do and if I can do it myself! Thank you
