Please send me the info. you mention to repair the problem with my JVC GR-D33U DV-mini camcorder which has the same problem as many others...lens cap off, but text in viewer says it is on, and camera wont take video, just plays.

No compensation necessary!!, but info has to be sent to a "DIRECT" e-mail address, this done by clicking on my RED link (and only on) and providing the address in the box, this only being seen by myself and used purely for reply purposes.
