Safeguard mode....how to remove after dropping camera

Everytime I turn on my camera it says it is in safe guard mode and you need to remove the battery or plug in ac. The tape will not eject either. I was trying to change a tape when I dropped it I was able to remove the tape with what I recorded so I thought it was ok an put in a blank tape...I not be able to eject tape or record on it or even play ....
