Disk error - Chinese MP4 player

I am getting 'Disk error' when I try to play music. On accessing the disk from PC, it says, Your disk is not formatted.

Firmaware version: LG MP3 Player scc91002v 1 CM60026 2007/02/08 ACT_V9.0.50 Please help with complete steps
