lens damage?

I dropped my Sony P200 digital camera and noticed that dark spots/patches started appearing on my photos. The spots are much more pronounced on photos using the zoom. This makes me believe the lens was damaged. Otherwise, the camera seems to be functioning fine. Is the problem with the lens, or could it be something else? If so, can it be repaired?
