Mavica won't start up

My Mavica is several years old. I bought it new and never had any trouble with it. I took it out the other day and it wouldn't turn on. Nothing. Black screen. Changed battery, same result. Bought new battery charged it and still no power. Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks alot in advance. Sharla
