ccd image sensing problem

I owned a jvc gydv 5000u camcorder for two years now, recently some bluish/purpleish spots is now appearing on the left side of the frame when I videotape especially when I use the ND filters. Is this a ccd image sensing problem? CAN IT BE CORRECTED? If not,I don't think I'll ever buy another JVC camcorder.I have owned a few cheaper cameras before and this problem has never happened.
