Yes...after I took it to a JVC authorized service center. They said that the video camera's "heads were clogged". It cost me $80.00 but it's working great now. The guy said that I should be careful when inserting a tape that's has any crinkles in the tape. That is what causes the heads to clog. I hope this helps...I was going crazy until I figured out what to do. The JVC company is terrible with customer service! Although I like the video camera, don't think I will buy another JVC product.
