Re: Sony DSC-S40 white LCD screen problem

John Posted Sep 06, 2007, in response to:Bob Allen

I can hardly believe it. My DSC-S40 gave me a white screen in Photo or playback mode. Searched for "RESET Sony DSC-S40" in Google (cos I thought a reset was what it needed) and first thing there was this article. I held camera in left hand, rapped Cybershot logo with right knuckles and it now works. Bob, it's still a great fix.

Hi John: You are certainly Welcome! Glad I could be of assistance with my 'Quick Fix' for the Sony DSC-S40 white/blank LCD screen problem. This is one goofy problem as there is no one situation when it rears its ugly head. You could hardly believe it..., I could hardly believe it worked and I discovered it!! :-) Yes, a big Thank You to the nice folks at Google for helping to point folks to my post and a tip of the hat to the nice folks at Pechorin's Forums for hosting this help area! Since it is now fixed, go forth and take some new pics! Regards, Bob The Allens of Allentown, PA USA BobA5835@hintYahoo.com For e-mail, drop the hint.
