Corey Yes, removing the stuck tape is fairly simple. However, diagnosing and repairing the REASON for the stuck tape may not be. At any rate, the first step is to remove the top cover and look on the underside of it for a sheet with the directions printer there. If you don't have it, email me directly and I'll send it to you.
