Hello Ms. Christy: You are certainly Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to let us know my 'Quick Fix' worked for your Sony DSC-S40 white/blank LCD screen problem. I have no idea why Sony continues to ignore this issue. I have received responses from around the world saying that my 'Quick Fix' has solved someone's problem, so there are plenty of malfunctioning Sony DSC-S40s. Yes, I know what you mean about those back to school pics when the children are just starting to attend school! (Our oldest daughter is in grad school, our son just 'went back to school', he is a Senior at Pitt and our baby, aka the Princess of Darkness, will be going back next week as a high school sophomore.) Boy, time does fly! So glad to hear I was of some assistance for your daughter's happy 1st Day of First Grade!
