Turned off while in use and does not respond at all

The tv turned off while in use and will not turn on at all. No red light. No picture. No sound. Removed back cover and the AC fuse is good. No odors present (hot, burn, etc) The tv is 10 years old and well cared for. Any user friendly advice before sending to the scrapyard?
