HomeI have tried all the tips about reseting and removing the battery and tried it with both the power supply and the battery, clean the contact points but the unit fails to power up Black Screen no noise no lights I have a Sony dcr trv 17 with a stuck tape and the camera won't power up. I have tried all the tips about reseting and removing the battery and tried it with both the power supply and the battery, cleaned the contact points but the unit fails to power up. At this point the tape inside is more valuable to me then the camera itself. And I am willing to disamble the camera and remove the tape as the tape has irreplacable family footage on it. I know that means I will just forget about using the camera again and thats ok. Is this the best strategy ? Any tips or ideas about where I could find information about taking the camera apart and saving the tape? Thanks in advance if you are able to offer any suggestions

see ur mail shaji At this point I just want to disasemble the camera and save the tape. I understand that it may not be an easy job as the tape can be damaged when it's removed Any suggestions on how to disasemble the camera and save the tape? Can it be done with just a screw driver? How can the tape be repaired if it's damaged when I remove it from the camera? I really appreciate any suggestions.
