TV went off on it's own, and will not turn back on. Red light on front flashes(On-Timer)...

We left yesterday for a bike ride(left the TV on), upon our return, the television had shut off, and this red light on the front of the tv was flashing...No storms or anything like it. Unplugged it and plugged it back in, to no avail. Then unplugged it @ 7:00am(the following morning), and plugged back in around 4:30 pm, and the light still flashes, and the tv still will not turn on....Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your assistance. Jason
