Lens jammed-need repair at a fair price

Hi, camera dropped while on, lens would'nt close and on slight angle. 'popped' back straight worked for a bit,now won't open. Tried 'tapping' it like everyone else did but no luck Is this worth repairing or cheaper to buy a newer one? could you give me ruff estimate please? Many thanks. Steve
