Hi Luo: You are certainly Welcome and Thanks for letting us know my 'Quick Fix' worked for you as well. I don't know how much 'voodoo' was involved, but my discovery of the 'Quick Fix' was more like "necessity is the Mother of invention." I too have a Sony DSC-S40 that experienced the dreaded 'white/blank LCD screen problem'. Needless to say, I've been quite happy sharing the fix for free here on the internet.
