error code on UVW 1400

tape stuck and code 02-403

I have a sony UVW-1400 with a tape stuck inside and error code 02-403. Is there a way to release the tape and reset machine without resorting to expensive service.

Paul, If you remove the top cover and look on the inside, there should be a sheet there describing the process. If not, email to me and I'll describe the process to you. Mike, VSSC VSSCinSoCA@att.net
