Issues with Camcorder

Have a JVC GR-D90 camcorder that has the dreaded CONDENSATION ERROR - tried what was suggested by JVC to no avail. Left it open for two nights. Would like to try wiping the sensor as others have with (some) success but do not see it. Also, I now can't get the tape deck to go down, can close, but can't get it to go down - any ideas? Last, is there a reset on this machine and if so, how do you do/find it? I'm surprised JVC, with all the issues there's been with this camera, didn't do a recall! THANKS!
