Did you ever figure out your problem with the screen blinking in and out black? I have the same problem with our Sony 61" big screen projection tv. Does your red LED light in the front (says "timer/standby") blink consistantly too, like 5 times? If you've figured out the answer, please send me the answer. I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.
