If you are using the "on air" reception via an aerial source, it should be noted that if the signal from the aerial drops for any reason like the aerial / cable or plug going faulty, then the auto tuner scan will not lock on channels under certain levels and will just keep passing them by. You will of course still be able to enter them manually, as that is not dependant on the signal strength of the channels you require.
