Viewfinder has a line of D's across it

We are using this camera for a fairly intensive shoot. What seems to be occurring is a line of the letter D will cross the viewfinder. We are concerned since we are a small independent film company with a very strict and low budget, and we cannot afford to go over our set wrap date. Any idea? Thanks!
