Camcorder doesn't power on.This is the second camera that it has happened to!

My jvc gr-vl557e was working one day. Switched it on the following day - nothing. Have changed battery - have changed charger. This happened to my last camera (excatly the same model) Can anyone help? I have taken the first one to bits - but never saw anything obviously wrong. I would be very greatful f anyone has any suggestions how to fix it! Thank you Shane
