i have the manual and still can't figure this out

i have the manual for my cd player for my car. i can't set the clock. it says to go to clock H for the hour and clock M for the minute, but does not say how to find clock H or M. i click on the button to get the clock to show, but can't do anything from there? any simpler ways to figure this out?
