I keep getting an error message on the camcorder after using it.

I have a JVC GR-DVL 8054 and it gives me an error message 4 about every other time i try to use it. It says to take off and put the battery back on. This does not help. Is their anyway that i can fix it? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
