Thanks for the speedy reply. Deck section? Not playing tape - that's okay. Just E-E with camera is when the problem occurs - horiz. rolling. Not logical to be in deck section. But I do appreciate your info. Mike

all video from camera and deck passes through the video board in the deck. most problems I have seen with loss of sync are related to one or more capacitors on this board; I've repaired about two dozen.
