Can not get my JVC GR-53AA to work on Vista

Plugged my camera in it detected it and installed drivers and said camera was ready for use. But when I plug the camera in it is not recognised by the computer. I have all used the instructions that come with the camera for xp to install it with out success. Can any one help please. Geoff
