HomeDoesn't work. 12 years old--should I fix or replace? TV is 12 years old. Twice replaced the screen due to kids. Twice replaced the fuses and a board. converg problem. Now the tv won't even turn on. Usually when you turn it on, there is a blinking light on the set before you see the picture. No blinking light, no picture, no sound--nothing. Smells like something plastic burning in back of set. Is it worth fixing? Anyone know what could be problem & cost?

Hey im in the same situation with the same television. I Fixed the television once already cause the convergence was a little screwy. Anyways, i have the same tv as you but i dont know what is wrong with it. Im willing to try and fix it but i just dont want to jump into it cold turkey. I try to power on my tv and it sounds like its going to turn on, but nothing comes up. If you found anything on this problem let me know please. Thank you |
