Re: JVC service or questions

Trine Posted Jun 20, 2007, in response to:Stacy Sample

Hi Stacy - I picked up a JVC hard disk drive camcorder model GZ-MG21U about a year ago. I've been able to record on it just fine but I can't transfer any footage on to my computer, TV or DVD. What do I need to do? The product didn't come with any kind of software. Kind regards, Trine

The camcorder is supplied with a CD ROM for downloading purposes, if you didn't get that at the time you "picked up" the camcorder then you cant easily download the video into your PC, as the only other way is to use a "fire-wire" connection into the PC, with that method you will of course require to have some software installed to capture / manipulate the video, but that can be any of the types seen advertised, "Nero" 6 or 7 being particularly good! As far as playing back on the TV or recording onto a DVD recorder etc, you simply use the AV lead from the camcorder, thats the one with a 3.5mm jack plug on one end and and three RCA (phono)type plugs on the other end, these plugging into the corresponding colours on whatever you are feeding them into.
